3 evenings of learning to our parent community
We are pleased to offer three evenings of learning to our parent community.
Adults are welcome to join one, two or all three of these sessions! Sessons will take place in our library at ÉJHMS.
Anxiety
Presented by Andrea Janzen, our school psychologist and Ashley Bahadoosingh, our school social worker
October 21, 2025 at 6:00 pm
Join us for a presentation designed for parents and caregivers of students in grade six to eight who are navigating anxiety and worries. Middle school is a time of big changes, and it is common for students to face heightened stress. This session will provide parents with a clear understanding of what anxiety looks like in early adolescents. Parents and caregivers can learn how to be a supportive guide to their child by fostering open communication, build their child's resilience and equip them with the tools they need to manage their fears and feel successful at home and at school.
Online Safety
Presented by The Winnipeg Police Service
November 18, 2025 at 6:00 pm
The Winnipeg Police Service will be joining us to deliver a valuable presentation. They will cover key topics such as the benefits and risks of social media, online safety, relevant laws, digital footprints and reputation, as well as issues like extortion and bullying. The session will end with a Q&A period, giving families the opportunity to ask questions and better understand how to support their children in navigating the online world safely and responsibly.
Truth and Reconciliation
Presented by Clayton Sandy

Looking forward to seeing you all there!
